A Basketball Update

Hello ladies and gentlemen. I know it has been a while since you last saw us debating but we are back and ready to talk some basketball. As you know the NBA Playoffs are amongst us right now, and we are one step away from having our final two teams. The teams remaining are the Memphis Grizzlies vs. the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat vs. the Indiana Pacers.

So far the playoffs have been unpredictable except for the Miami Heat. If everything works out in their favor, Lebron James should win his second ring this year because it looks as if no team will be able to beat them in a seven game series.

A team that could have been a good matchup if they made it to the finals would have been the LA Clippers. However, they did not make it out of the first round over the Memphis Grizzlies. Now news has surfaced that Vinny Del Negro will not return as the coach of the team next year. Is this because of the loss or is this what Chris Paul wants? Either way, now the Clippers’ future is on hold until they get a reputable coach that take them to the next stage.

Also if you have not heard, former Detroit Lions Wide Receiver Titus Young was recently arrested 4 times within a week. The disgruntled receiver was first arrested for theft, stealing some food and candy bars from a convient store. Then he was arrested twice in one day for a DUI and then hopping a impound lot fence to try to take his car back. Then he went into a  San Clemente home in the middle of the night and started scuffling with deputies, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. On top of all that, his baby mother put a restraining order on him after he allegedly harassed her and made threats like “I understand why O.J. killed his wife.” It is safe to say this kid has some real problems.

Well, let us debate…
